Southside Dog School is an incorporated association operating as a not-for-profit club, and is run on the goodwill of a small band of dedicated volunteers.
Since 2003, we have been offering training in a supportive and friendly environment. Our instructors and volunteers are all committed to, and passionate about, positive, rewards based training.
Our training approach is based on behaviour science. This approach is used to build a strong, healthy, and lasting relationship between you and your dog.
Our Instructors have either completed a recognised course, such as the Delta Institute’s nationally accredited Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services, or have completed our comprehensive Trainee Instructor program.
Trainee Instructors may assist in many of the classes whilst undergoing their training.
We welcome any members who are interested in volunteering, either as an instructor, or in any of the other roles available.
Southside Dog School proudly acknowledges the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we train, and we pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
